Insurance Institute For Asia and the Pacific (IIAP) was founded in 1974. It is the only training institute catering to the 7100 islands of Philippines, organized to serve the education and professional development requirements of the life and non life insurance industry, and the only organization accredited by the Insurance Commission to administer the licensing examinations in traditional life insurance, nationwide.
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought unforeseen challenges to various sectors, including the insurance industry in the Philippines. The traditional examination process, heavily reliant on physical presence and manual grading, became impractical due to lockdowns and travel restrictions. This situation created an urgent need for a solution that could maintain the continuity of professional certification while ensuring the safety
and convenience of candidates.
They considered developing an online exam system from scratch but realized the time and cost implications, and decided to opt for an external vendor.
Online Assessment Delivery Platform
IIAP started with a pilot implementation of Talview's platform.
