Challenge
La Trobe University faced mounting challenges in maintaining the integrity and scalability of remote examinations. Traditional proctoring methods, including human supervision and basic technological solutions like Zoom, fell short in addressing the needs of a growing student population and the complex logistics and scheduling of remote exam administration. The need for a robust solution was evident, one that could seamlessly manage large volumes of exams while ensuring strict adherence to academic integrity.
Solution
Live Proctoring with Secondary Camera
La Trobe University implemented Talview's Live Proctoring to oversee their remote semester and term exams. Given the significance of these exams, the university required a live proctor to supervise and assist students, as well as a secondary camera to capture a broader view of the test-taker's environment.
Talview's proctoring technology incorporates sophisticated algorithms that identify any questionable behavior from candidates that may have gone unnoticed by human invigilators, thus adding an extra layer of security.

Future
